Nature and Art Plan

Sapporo surrounded by its natural splendor. A 30-minute drive from the center of the city brings you to mountains for hiking and large parks for strolling. If you're interested in art, we recommend that you visit Sapporo Art Park, which exhibits a collection of sculpture installations by artists from many counties including Japan; Moerenuma Park, which was planned by Isamu Noguchi; and Ishiyama Park, which displays works by young sculptors in Hokkaido. There are various art museums in Sapporo, such as Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art and Sapporo Museum of Sculpture.

Moerenuma Park
The park was designed by Isamu Noguchi, whose design concept was "the entire park to be a sculpture."
