Hokkaido is well served by JR rail lines. From Sapporo, you can get to the north, east and south directly by express train. The trains have various facilities, so you can enjoy a relaxing trip. As well, expansive Hokkaido has an advanced road system, and it is possible to get to all regions of Hokkaido by car. Another attraction for car travel is that the roads are wider and have less traffic than standard Japanese roads. You can enjoy real Hokkaido scenery of hills and mountains from a car window. |
